Outer Banks Milepost: Issues 13.2 & 13.4 (OD)
Love it. Great use of images, colors, typography and white space. Headlines are not just headlines, but clever and draw you in. Everything about this publication makes me want to read it. In a race where there are two pubs I want to give first place to, the clever headlines sets it apart.

Outer Banks Milepost: Issues 13.2 & 13.4 (CC)
This magazine gave me a strong sense of the vibe of the Outer banks -- breezy, sometimes irreverent, but exuding passion for the environment, culture and community. The cover stories were well-researched, balanced and dealt with issues of local concern. The magazines also provide plenty of information for visitors about local sites and history.

Issue 13.1: "Strength In Numbers"
Frank discussion on an important topic. Good to see the publication taking the lead on it.

Issue 13.1: 50th Party!
I like the irreverent tone, mixed with serious stories. The look back at every issue? But why not celebrate?

Issue 13.4: "So Handy"
All artist feature photographs should show the subject working and engaging with their craft. The photographers did just that with these images. Clarity and technical skills, yes; interesting, yes. Congrats on 3rd place!
