Headline Writing
These may have been the best in terms of ability to catch attention. But in the Amico interview story, far as I saw, he doesn't tell readers to ignore "everything" a high school teacher teaches on poetry. Rather, he singles out an overfocus on "hidden meaning." Some may disagree, but it's important not to oversell or stretch a story, even slightly. (Not saying it was necessarily intentional.) But from a creativity and attention-catching standpoint, I love the rhythm and pacing of that headline.

Western North Carolina college athletes navigate new world of endorsements
Best NIL story I have seen to date. No conjecture made by the writer, just good ol' reporting. Fantastic job.

What will legalized sports betting mean for Western North Carolina?
Pretty good story about the introduction of sports betting to the state. Shows the problems and ironies as well as explains what the income source likely will be used for.
