Consistent losses, failed expansions create uncertain future for Charlotte’s Aldersgate
While I think this story could have been organized differently (putting a concise summary of the controversy near the start, namely that the business flagged the attention of insurance regulators, along with the risk of being unable to pay outgoing residents back their entrance fees), this is clearly a deeply reported story. Good background history on the property and its religious context. Great effort to investigate this property, in a historically interesting context. Very detailed.
