Wilmington StarNews Editorials
Sometimes ethical practices and the ‘how’ and ‘why’ certain things happen get lost in the day-to-day shuffle. It’s times like these that it’s important for newspapers to state the obvious, so to speak, because for one reason or another, public officials sometimes rely on certain rules or unsavory practices to become less obvious to achieve certain means. These editorials state the obvious where it needs to be stated for the benefit of the public as well as a reminder to officials.

One last stroll with my grandma at Old English Cemetery
Great Grandmother story!!! That is very unique and falls into a top originality story. String together three of those type of pieces and you're looking at first place next year. Also, improvement of writing skills recommended. You have the other ingredients and foundation to do so, and I'm sure you will.

Three nice local editorials. Must be nice to have an ex-reporter on the local federal bench. The "Don't let hate get the last word..." piece was distressing. Maybe we all need to be more distressed. Congratulations.
